The pattern-only download option is ideal for someone already working with fibre, offering the same stunning design as my complete kit, but tailored for those who already have needle-felting tools and materials. 
 
Finished size: The finished artwork will fit inside a standard 7"x5" (177.8mm x 127mm) frame.
Time required: Everyone felts at different speeds, however the ‘Flutter’ completion time is estimated at 6–10 hours.
Skill Level 1: Perfect for beginners, these kits are designed to help you build confidence with basic needle-felting techniques.
​File download: ​Each pattern purchase comes with three pdf files that you will download to your computer – a black and white pattern (one page), a colour reference sample (one page) and a 12-page instruction booklet (including a link to access online video demonstration files). Each file is A4 in size. The only file you need to print is the pattern (so you can transfer the design to your fabric). The other two files are optional to print and can be easily viewed on your computer, tablet or phone.

This design has been crafted using 100% New Zealand Corriedale wool and high-quality felting needles. While the specific fibres and colours in your collection may differ, you can achieve beautiful results by following my guidelines and recommended materials. The instructions contain the Ashford colour palette used in the original design for your reference, allowing you to either match it or create your own unique version.
 
Recommended equipment to complete ‘Flutter’:
Foam base (or a frame to securely hold the base fabric).
Fabric (I recommend a white cotton-linen blend).
Felting needle (I recommend 36 gauge) – you may need more than one needle to complete this design, as needles tend to break.
Pins to secure your fabric to the foam base.
Wool fibre in multiple colours (I recommend Ashford Corriedale or Merino fibre).
White cotton fibre (or white wool fibre).
Fine black permanent marker or black ballpoint pen.
Masking tape or other tape.
A rule or straight edge.
Two small carding brushes (or two wire dog brushes). This is not essential as you can easily blend the fibre by hand.
A 7" x 5" (117.8mm x 127mm) frame of your choice to display your fibre painting.
