The making of ‘Outback Illusion’

Would you like to see how my latest fibre artwork came together?

‘Outback Illusion’ took a total of 62 hours (including time for ideation, selecting the colour palette, and tidying up afterwards).

I work in three distinct layers. The first layer blocks out the colours. The second layer builds up the richness of the colour combinations and shading. The third layer is where I concentrate on the highlights, shadows and detail.
