Get ready for some more little cuties! The life of a Rainbow Skink photographer (for that is what I have become) goes a bit like this:
Grab camera and walk very quietly into the garden.
Stand stock-still for a LONG time and listen. Wait to hear rustling in the leaves.
Wait another VERY LONG time to see movement out of the corner of your eye.
Try to move your camera quickly (and very quietly) in the general direction before the (very small and very fast) skink scuttles off.
Focus, press and if you are extremely lucky, you’ll get a shot.
Wait another EXTRAORDINARILY LONG time (while you contemplate life, meditate, breathe deeply, etc.).
When your back starts to hurt or you start getting sunburnt, call it a day.
