This weekend I dusted off my sewing machine to make this ‘market apron’ (also called a utility or crafter’s apron). I thought it would come in handy when selling my needle-felted fibre painting kits at the Wool Revolution Studio Wool and Fibre Sale on 14/15 December (details below).
When I was showing Simon the colours I’d chosen, he said "why don’t you put a picture of one of your kits on the apron?”. That’s why I love brainstorming and getting the opinion of others – I would never have thought to do that!
You can buy transfer sheets that go through an inkjet printer, which you then iron onto cotton fabric. The result was really good – so much better than I thought it would be!
The apron pattern is from craftystaci.com and has 8 pockets – super-helpful when standing on a market stall, or doing crafts at home.
