I’m a face-painting survivor!

Well, I made it through relatively unscathed…my face-painting stint at our Christmas BBQ now complete.

I was pretty nervous – kids can be tough customers – get it wrong, and they’ll tell you!

I had everything planned out. I had a book of designs that the kids could choose from. I figured out how to paint each of those designs. What could possibly go wrong?

First child: “Could you paint Skull Trooper from Fortnite?” Ummm...sure...

Second child: “Could you paint The Joker”....oh dear...

Don't worry, then we had a couple of innocuous ones like a reindeer and a butterfly. Nailed it.

Then it was back to: “Could you paint Two Face (from Batman)”?

And, then the pièce de résistance: “Could you paint a cat?” Sure, no problem (I search in my design book, pretty sure I have a cat in there somewhere). “No, I mean could you paint OUR cat?” Out comes the phone with a photo of their grey tabby cat.

Yep, I had one of those “challenging” days, but I think I also had some pretty happy customers!
