Fantastic ‘Re-directed art’ fundraising initiative for hospice

Writer's picture: Sarah RitchieSarah Ritchie

Here is a brilliant idea for a fundraising activity, plus I want to brag on my fellow Art of Us (artofus.co.nz) friend and artist, Katie Robinson (katierobinson.co.nz | Insta: @katie_robinson_art).

Katie has created a 'redirected' artwork, and it's awesome! Re-Directed Art is a collaboration between First Thursday Devonport, Harbour Hospice, and The Depot – all based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Re-directed artists have been given artworks that have been abandoned at Harbour Hospice. They have worked their creative genius on them, re-directing them into something new by embedding into the original work.

You can see the before and after of Katie's picture, and they have turned it into a t-shirt for fundraising. To buy one of these t-shirts and to find out when the pictures are being auctioned off, visit: events.humanitix.com/redirected-the-heat-ray

Proceeds are going to Harbour Hospice. Please support them.

What a cool fundraising idea!!!
