When I see this group of wahine toa (strong women), I smile. This is our Art of Us crew at Sara Langdon’s exhibition opening night (check out artofus.co.nz to find out more).
Left to right: Vanessa Narbey (Insta: @vnarbeyart), Holly Clarke (Insta: @hollyclarkestudios), Katie Robinson (Insta: @katie_robinson_art), me and Sara Langdon (Insta: @saralangdonart). We are standing in front of Sara’s beautiful artwork. (It was a coincidence we were all wearing green…very apropos!)
We laugh together, and cry together. We build each other up, and form a catch-net when one of us falls.
Every artist and creator needs a support system around them (family, friends, community). Art of Us is that for me, and I truly appreciate these women in my life. Thank you!
