Michele Semin glass garden

Would you like a garden that sparkles at night? How about a garden where instead of seeing green grass you see a riot of swirling, glistening colour? If you have a whole mountain of surplus cash to spend, read on…

Do you remember when I wrote about the BMW New Zealand water feature that was surrounded by amazing blue glass [here]? That was the first time that I has seen glass pieces used – en masse – in an outdoor feature. Michele Semin’s Nebraska garden leaves the BMW fountain in its dust.

Designed by Chris Murphy, this incredible garden design incorporates 12,700 kilograms of tumbled glass  (in 22.6kg bags) and 4,536kg of white river rocks. You can walk on the glass in bare feet too. I can only imagine what this vista looks like when the sun is shining on the glass…it must be incredible.

You can read more about this garden here.
