We are officially now into the second month of spring. The trees are starting to explode with new leaves, but I saw something curious on my walk the other day that surprised me. A young oak tree (pictured above) was just pushing out its delicate new leaves…while the old leaves were still on the tree. I don’t think I have ever (knowingly) seen that before.
It was as if the wind hadn’t quite reached that particular tree in order to blow away the old, dead remnants of the winter season. I could see some parallels to life in that tree. Can you?
