take one used pallet…

Packing case wall

When you run out of building materials you could always use a freight pallet or twenty. That’s what this restaurant in Auckland’s new Wynyard Quarter seems to have done…and it works…REALLY well!

Granted, if they had used unpainted planks the effect would not have been quite as striking. With a rustic, distressed paint finish the effect is eye catching, colourful and quite remarkable! See what can happen when a client’s brief reads: “we want a cheap, eco-friendly restaurant on a small budget, but needs to look a million dollars“. Bingo!
