What great texture and color! As beautiful as Queen Esther herself! 🙂

  2. Thanks Leona! As you might have seen, my posts have become a lot more infrequent of late. I am “time poor” at the moment…something had to give and it was my painting and this blog site. However, I think you might be interested in a new not-for-profit that we have started here in NZ… . Would love it if you had a look at the site and kept this initiative in your prayers!

I absolutely love the new ministry and the website!!!! Was this something you and your husband started or your church? It has most definitely made it’s way onto my prayer list. My daughter has just recently taken on a new ministry of teacing child care to young mother’s-to-be who have chosen to keep their babies. These young girls, who have chosen life instead of abortion, are being given support and encouragement through all sorts of classes. I’ll send Megan (my daughter) to the Cradle of Hope website, as well.

I know what you mean about not having time. I have started going into the local jail on Wednesday nights to have a Bible study for the women there. With that lesson, various studies at my church, and a women’s retreat I am planning in October, I sometimes feel like I don’t have time to breathe! I also started a new blog (with a different attitude this time 🙂 ), but I only write about once a week. God is good!

  4. If it were not for God’s strength I would not be able to cope!
Cradle of Hope is something we started. We are trying to get our church interested in the opportunity, but there doesn’t appear to be much enthusiasm or support at all (which we can’t understand).
I love the idea of your daughter’s ministry!!! That is SO necessary. It is all very well to prevent an abortion from taking place, but the reality is that many (do we say “most”?) of the woment then will be needing a huge amount of support to be able to cope with all the challenges that follow. Please pass on my congratulations to your daughter for the wonderful work she is doing.
Thank you for your prayers Leona. We need them!

  5. […] literally) all around us. Though I am not keen to repeat the mixed media attempt that was Canvas #18, I am not anti the possibility of using the odd “extra” in a future […]
