let’s give ’em something to talk about…

After boarding the train, our ticket collector yelled (at the top of his voice): “all a-b-o-a-r-d!”, in the deep, commanding, old-fashioned way.

So unexpected and quaint, it really stood out as something to break up the usual, monotonous, morning routine. So remarkable was it that I saw the ensuing smiles and heard various passengers mimicking the man after the event.

How often in life do we find ourselves doing the same old same-old? What would happen if you injected a surprise into your day? An “All Aboard!” for yourself/your family/your workplace?

It just might get folks talking or smiling. Talking and smiling can become contagious and who knows where your unexpected contribution could spread to!
