Dale Chihuly: selected works

Oh my goodness! Wow! Superlative. Superlative. If you like colour, glassworks and being impressed on a LARGE scale, you have to check out the art of Dale Chihuly. One of my students has just introduced me to his body of work, and it is so remarkable that I can’t stop remarking about it.

An American-born and based glass artist, Dale Chihuly’s work is jaw-droppingly incredible. I saw his chandelier in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, a few years ago (right), and it is most definitely a piece that demands you stop and stare. In fact, the one and only photo that I took – inside the V&A – was of Chihuly’s artwork!

How I wish for – one day – having the opportunity to see more of his glass art in person. I would be one happy little camper!
