“do something now…”

10/03/2011 by Sarah Ritchie

Back in 1985, when the world was gripped by the starvation in Ethiopia; when there was Band Aid, “We Are the World” and Live Aid, there was another ensemble recording produced titled “Do Something Now“.

The song was recorded by CAUSE (Christian Artists United to Save the Earth), a group of very well known American Christian singers at the time.

Here is the video, and also the lyrics of the song. Even today, if you can look past the dated hair, makeup and clothes, the message is still 100% valid. We’ve still go to do something for others (and there are endless “somethings” to choose from). Something…anything…!

    Do you remember the track?!

  3. Leona Briggs says:

I vaguely remember it. But the message is timeless! I had to laugh over the 80’s hair and clothes! What were we thinking in the 80’s! 🙂

  4. Sarah Ritchie says:

I accept no responsibility for my hair, makeup, clothes, jewellery…or what I danced like…in the 80s!
