My experiences at Thai restaurants are usually extremely pleasant, with a high level of polite, efficient service. This week, during a Thai dinner with the girls, a new benchmark in restaurant service was set.
My friends, and I, began to peruse the dinner menu. Having forgotten to bring her glasses, one friend was holding her menu at arm’s length and lamenting her less-than-perfect eyesight. Quick-as-a-flash, the hostess had placed – on our table – a wine glass, full of reading glasses!
I’ve never experienced anything like it! Such a pleasant surprise, showing amazing thoughtfulness.
Two goals of customer service should be to exceed expectation and to delight. Big ticks for the Benjarong Thai Restaurant in Howick, Auckland (and the food was fabulous too)!
