Are you feeling a bit “depleted”? A bit “flat”? A bit “blah”?
Aaron was a contestant on Masterchef Australia (Series 2). He had a rollercoaster ride of successes and stumbles on the show, and was eliminated (in episode 76) achieving a very credible top 10 placing.
Certainly not one to hide his emotions, I expected to watch Aaron leave in a flurry of tears and regret. Surprisingly, he was upbeat and positive as he walked out the Masterchef door for the final time. He said that “[being on Mastrchef had] re-energised his creativity”.
It is difficult to dig your way out of the doldrums (personal or creative) by doing nothing more than what you are currently doing. You have to do something different and ramp it up.
Maybe quitting your job and going on Masterchef for three monhs isn’t the answer (!), but if you like cooking, why don’t you do some cooking classes? If you like to be around people, you could volunteer your time somewhere.
The hardest part of “un-blahing” yourself is YOU. You are the only one holding you back…any other reason is just an excuse!
