Are you living your passion? I don’t necessarily mean what you do to pay the bills, but your true passion.
When we are young we have an amazing opportunity to learn and fill our lives with a smorgasbord of new thoughts, ideas and experiences. Somewhere along the adolescent path we make a choice to continue studying in a chosen discipline – in an area we have shown particular aptitude or interest.
Once we exit our education years we take that core set of skills and repeat them until we become an expert in one field. It’s around that time the opportunity to learn new things diminshes.
When you chose your vocation did you also choose to follow your passion? Perhaps your passion was your hobby, but not your money earner. Did you compromise your dream?
As we get older and responsibilities creep in it becmes tempting to think we cannot live our passion and dream or learn new things (or re-train). Maybe you think there is no longer enough time, or money, or point to warrant the effort…but don’t you think there will always be a part of you that is missing if you don’t at least try?
It takes courage, but you can do it! You should do it. Following your passion is a perfect way to start making a difference!
