This is the winning packaging design (‘Luxury’ category) in the international 2010 Pentawards. The bottle was designed by French company Brandimage, for Oriens of Van Cleef & Arpels.
Do you suppose that the cut glass top with the sparkling colours might have had just a teeny weeny influence in the success of this “luxury” perfume packaging…yes, I think so too!
Since posting this, I have read that “the bottle’s designer, Joël Desgrippes, modeled Oriens’ flacon after a ring design from Van Cleef & Arpels’ fine jewelry collection: an enormous tourmaline set in white gold, like a flower surrounded by diamond-studded leaves.” (see picture)
Perfume, jewellery, cut glass, sparkles, opulence…what a combination!
